Oral history

This section presents the interviews conducted by Estelle Idiens for the Deliberately Concealed Garments Project oral history programme. Interviews were conducted with researchers, those who have found concealed objects and conservators. As the programme continues more interviews will be conducted.

Sound archive

The recordings of the interviews with Mrs Maynard and Sue Stanton (see below) have been depositied with the Wessex Film and Sound Archive based at Hampshire Record Office, Winchester.

About the interviewer

Estelle Idiens has been a volunteer for the Textile Conservation Centre since Summer 2001 and has been working on this project since January 2002. She conducted research into the potential interviewees and also into their work before formulating the structure and content for the interview process. She will shortly
be commencing the MA Museum Studies: Culture, Collections and Communication here at the TCC in October 2002.
